- Personal favorite: I’ve tested several snowmobile tours, and this full-day snowmobile safari in the wilderness is my absolute favorite. For more than 5 hours we explored the wilderness around Rovaniemi. This safari is slightly more expensive, but it offers the ultimate snowmobile experience. You have plenty of time to learn how to properly control the snowmobile, which allows you to reach higher speeds, as many shorter tours operate with speed limiters.
4. Arctic Snow Hotel

The Arctic Snow Hotel, located just 30 kilometers from Rovaniemi, is a unique attraction in Lapland. Each year, it is completely rebuilt from snow and ice, making it a temporary masterpiece that exists for only a few months. Visitors can stay overnight in ice rooms with beautifully carved sculptures and atmospheric lighting, dine in the Ice Restaurant, or enjoy a drink in the Ice Bar. Even without an overnight stay in the Arctic Snow Hotel, a visit is worthwhile: you can book this guided tour that will explain how the Snow Hotel is constructed and during the day, visitors can explore all areas and rooms of the hotel. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy snow saunas (the only ones in the world!), snow activities, and, with some luck, the Northern Lights (more info on tours from Rovaniemi or you can book a room in the Snow Hotel and/or Glass Igloos).
